A magnificent display from the cavaliers, and mainly Flavio saw Chester le street manage an amazing 4-1 victory over hot competition favourites, Never Walk Alone FC in the EEFA Champions League Group E fixture.
2 goals from Flavio, 1 from Alex Junio who later went off injured, and a 30 yard screamer from Lior Rafaelov sent the home fans wild, and put the Cavaliers through to the next stage of the competition, and made them winners of their group, which was beyond all expectations when the draw was made.
Cavaliers beat Twin-Town Job Seekers XI, Peterbrough hammers and Never Walk Alone FC to the 1 and only qualifying position in the group, and manager Mike Burton is said to be delighted.
Despite having a lowered capacity crowd due to the recent blaze at the Cattle Farm, the 6,000 spectaters drew up a huge atmosphere and a pitch invasion at the end.
While it may just be a group stage they have won – it has to be remembered, Cavaliers were in a hugely difficult group and have exceeded all expectations.
